Independence of Malaysia vs National Day

http://www.nst.com.my/Current_News/NST/Friday/Columns/2119002/Article/index_html

Again John Teo from Sarawak made a mess of the truth.

National Day can be designated any day but Independence Date must be
historically correct.

Lying about History is lying to God.

Malaysia has never been colonised so there is no need for it to be
independent.

To say that Malaysia achieved Independence on the 31st of August,
1957, i.e. 50 years ago, is like saying that Malaysia exists that day.
The word Malaysia itself does not exist 50 years ago.

It is even worse for Sabahans and Sarawakians who celebrate their
Independence on the 31st of August, 1957, i.e. 50 years ago. They are
just bloody fools.

For Malayans, they have reasons to celebrate. For them, since day one
of the formation of Malaysia, Malaysia is just a renamed Malaya, and
Sabah and Sarawak JOINED Malaya, and never formed Malaysia.

However legal documents signed by Tunku Abdul Rahman didn't support
that view. It is clearly stated in simple English words that Sabah and
Sarawak established Malaysia, together with Malaya.
